Value Network Mapping is an advanced technique that builds on the capability mapping work that is presented in the June 2008 Harvard Business Review article co-authored by Dennis Stevens, ”The Next Revolution In Productivity”. Value Network Mapping combined capability mapping with an updated version of Value Stream Mapping that is suitable for knowledge work.
Advances in technology provide a huge opportunity for business performance improvement. Before these new technologies can be harnessed to improve business capabilities, the technology group in collaboration with the business must address three significant challenges:
